A COLD AND LONELY NIGHT by RRPleau

Waking up the next morning, Darren asked, I hope you are not mad? I said, I was not. I asked him what are you going to do today? He said he would love to move in with me if it were okay. I told him that he needed to go home and talk to his girlfriend and try to work it out with her. If they could not work, it out then he could come and stay with me.

Dropping him off at his apartment that he shared with his girlfriend. Before Darren walked into the house, he looked back and waved. Later, that day I received a phone call from Darren, and he told that he and his girlfriend were going to work on their relationship, and that he was going to stay there. I wished him luck and hung up the phone.

Though I am glad that Darren made up with his girlfriend, I still wonder what it could have been. It was a cold and lonely night I will never forget.
