There were lots of cheers and snide comments as we walked back into the reception, but we took it in stride. We said our goodbyes to the guests, and the four of us dressed to leave. Caleb and I put our full tuxedos on, and Christy and Jessie put their wedding dresses on. The dresses were sent with an inner liner to be worn in public. However, it almost looked like you could see the skin underneath at a distance.
We exited the building to a shower of birdseed. We got into a stretch limo that was waiting to deliver us to the next phase of our lives.
Author’s final Thought: Okay, so the vows were kind of sappy – and they were at least partially from a wedding vow website. I just thought it added a bit of flair to the story.
