Spoons by Rusher,Rusher

They lay in each other’s arms for a long time, she idly stroking his stomach and he stroking her arm and side. They reveled in the joy and love of being there together and warm in each other’s arms under the blankets. There was a time when they had believed they would never be this close again. At length, as their breathing became more regular and they moved closer to sleep, she instinctively turned on her side, facing away from him. He likewise turned on his side and moved closer to her. He glued his body to hers from behind, curling around her form so that he covered the full length of her body. His warm hand came to rest on her stomach.

“Mmm, spoons” she murmured distantly.

“Spoons,” he whispered, with a light kiss on her neck for punctuation, as they both drifted off to sleep.
